Update

So, I got a little behind on the blog. Nate was harrassing me tonight because I still haven't taken my pictures off my camera since the Tuesday before Halloween! I'll try to rewind my short memory and see if I can remember what has happened in the last two weeks.

First we had our pumpkin carving festivities with my grandma and grandpa. We have been carving pumpkins with Mar and Gar since October 1997. At first it was just Nate and I, grandma, grandpa and my cousin Tesha, who was 10 years old at the time. It has now morphed into Grandma, Grandpa, my cousin Tesha, her neice (so my cousin) Shantell, Tesha's friend Jessica and her daughter Sierra, my mom, brother and his wife and daughter - Arlane, Cody, Courtney and Brinklee, Nate, myself, Kenzie and Kamryn and then whatever other friend of Tesha's that decides to pop in and carve a pumpkin. This year it was her friends and twin sisters, Saray & Iris and Iris' daughter Jasmin. Holy cow, so many people to cram into grandma's little house, but it was so much fun. My grandma and grandpa even carve pumpkins!! They are the best and are still so young at heart. I hope to be like them some day! Next, was our ward Halloween carnival. Makenzie dressed up as Hannah Montana and Kamryn was a cute pink and purple butterfly. In these pictures Kenzie doesn't look so much like Hannah Montana because she refused to wear the wig. She hated it because it made her itch. I finally talked her into wearing it Halloween day for the carnival at school.

Halloween day I went to Kenzie's school to help her with putting on her wig and chearing her on when they did their parade. That night we went to trunk or treat at our church. We had lots of fun. We ate hot dogs, chili and hot chocolate. Makenzie had so much fun with her best friend Emily. I was thinking that they were going to say "We want to go by ourselves because were big kids now," and then they surprised me when they said, "will you please walk around with us, we don't want to go by ourselves." It makes you feel good to know that you have at least one more year of a sweet innocent loving child who isn't ready to toss their mom out of the moving vehicle yet!

All in all, we had lots of fun this Halloween holiday. Hope you all did too! Maybe one of these years I'll be able to get Nate into dressing up and doing fun stuff like that (haha!)... Maybe Jim and Ryan need to work on my stubborn husband for me!

1) What was I doing 10 years ago: Hmmm... Nate and I had been married for almost 3 months. I worked for a Title company as the receptionist. We were poor, but life was great!!

2) 5Things on my "to-do" list: I hate to-do's.. I always have so many... 1- Clean my house 2- Do the laundry and put it away 3- Finish painting my family room and hang my pictures back up 4- Hang up the pictures in my girls rooms 5- Make Makenzie a tutu.. I told her I would make it 3 months ago and I have the stuff... it just sits and looks at me though!

3) Things I would do if I were suddenly a billionaire: Payoff all our bills, go buy a new house and car for Nate (and maybe a SUV for me too) and go on a fun and expensive vacation (obviously I would do lots of other stuff, but that would be the top of the list.

4) Three bad habits: Do I really need to answer this... ok, being lazy, swearing and being lazy.

5) Places I have lived: Delta and Provo... yep, pretty lame!!

6) States (and countries) I've visited: Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, California, Nevada, Alaska, Oregon(i think just the airport there)

1.What is your most embarrassing moment?. I was at the mall with my aunt when I was a kid and there was someone that was handicapped and I was starring (I know, rude!) and I walked into a metal sign outside of a store and DONG!!!

2.What is something that you think about and laugh at every time? The above embarrassing moment!! I know my Aunt Michelle laughs everytime about it too!

3. What is you favorite season and why?- Fall. I love the changing of the season from hot into cool. The leaves changing, the cool breeze, lounging in the yard swing!

4.Who is your hero? I know that everyone says this, but my husband. He is amazing and I don't tell him it enough. He puts up with my crap, helps take care of the house and the laundry, really helps out with the kids, he's the best.

5.What have you learned throughout your life that you would share as advice for others? I do the same as Shannon with trying to teach Makenzie to always be kind because she wouldn't like it if someone was being rude to her and I also try to teach her that if she sees people being mean to someone to go be nice to them and make them feel better. Also, communication with your spouse is a big thing.. and taking turns compromising.

6.What is your favorite goofy thing that your spouse does which makes you fall in love all over again? Nate pulls faces and says dorky things to me all the time.. we do it with each other.

7.What is your favorite book(s) of all time? I can't believe this, but I can't think of the name... everyone will know which ones I am talking about... the vampire books that just came out the last year or two.. oh, Twighlight series.

8.What is one of your pet peeves?Noises.. little ticky annoying noises!!!

9. What has been your favorite place to travel and why? Hmmmm, I don't really have a favorite because we haven't traveled much. We're pretty lame. I love YellowStone. I want to go to Hawaii and Europe.

If you had no money limits and one day, what would you do? I would go shopping and buy a new house.. bigger house!, new car, new clothes, new furniture, new..new....new..... LAME, I know. I get tired of what I have.
